Castro de la mesa de miranda
II dron Race
November 6, 2022

The excitement returns to Castro Vettón with the second FPV drone race. A challenging course, incredible prizes and a family atmosphere await you. Sign up as a pilot or come and cheer on the participants!
In 1930 the imposing walls of the castro de la Mesa de Miranda were discovered, where the Vetton people lived from the 5th century B.C. until the Roman conquest of the territory.
This year it will be drones that will reconquer the area. At more than 170 km/h and vertigo-inducing accelerations, these little flyers will dodge the different obstacles between the walls of the castro.
On November 6, 2022 from 10.00 to 15.00 the best drone pilots will face each other in the second drone race on a Vetton castro. In the Castro de la Mesa de Miranda, in Chamartín (Ávila).
But this will not be the only thing happening on November 6, as all attendees will be able to enjoy the different areas available during the event:
- Training area: never flown a drone before? Or have you tried flying drones but want to perfect your technique? Come on November 6th and try our workshops. Free and for all ages.
- Free flight area: Do you have a drone and want to show us what you can do? You are invited to fly with us! We will coordinate all takeoffs and landings. In addition, the best aerial photograph will be awarded a prize.
Come to Chamartín on November 6th and enjoy a different day.

Castro de la mesa de miranda
The Castro de la Mesa de Miranda is made up of three enclosures:
the Lower Castle, protected by a 1,300 m long wall; the Upper Castle and the space identified as a cattle enclosure. Between the walls of the second and third enclosure there is a structure built with cyclopean stones. Next to the castro is the necropolis of La Osera, where more than 2,200 tombs have been exhumed.
The Castro de la Mesa de Miranda is located on the spur formed by the Matapeces and Rihondo streams on the border between the mountains of Avila, to the south, and Moraña, to the north.
