How do I obtain the C5 class marking?
With C5 EuroSafe, obtaining C5 class certification is very simple: pilots can install the C5 EuroSafe system themselves, following an easy-to-understand user manual, without having to send the drone to a technical service center. EuroSafe Systems will guide you through each step to obtain C5 class certification with ease.
Once installed, your UAS is no longer considered a C2 class model and officially becomes a C5 aircraft, with a new designation that identifies its converted configuration.
The C5 Eurosafe system includes all necessary components and has been designed to fully comply with class C5 regulations and requirements. This guarantees flight within the European STS-01 framework with complete peace of mind.
How does the C5 Eurosafe control system work?
The Flight Termination System (FTS) is activated independently of the aircraft control system. This means that even if you lose the connection between the transmitter and the UAS, you can still end the flight safely.
The installation of the flight termination system on the drone is also completely independent of the onboard systems: even if these fail, the FTS can be activated and the parachute deployed, preventing further damage.
How does the drone land?
The parachutes used in C5 EuroSafe systems are custom-made, ultra-lightweight, and have been developed by aeronautical engineers over a period of more than two years to achieve maximum efficiency and quality.
For this reason, the speed of descent is minimized by deploying the parachute, minimizing damage upon impact as much as possible.
Compliance with EASA regulations MOC 2511 / MOC 2512
EASA has published new compliance regulations for installation systems in UAS, with the aim of reducing the impact on the ground in the event of an emergency.
